8 Days Experience Beauty of Samburu, Lake Nakuru, Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Amboseli

This morning you start your 8 Days Samburu Nakuru Masai Mara Safari, we travel by road to Kenya’s northern frontier. Wild and rugged, Samburu is fiercely beautiful with its arid savannahs watered by the lovely Uaso Nyiro River. It is also one of Kenya’s most protected areas and home to species only found north of the equator, from the reticulated giraffe to Grevy’s zebras and Beisa oryxes.

Dawn breaks in golden bands as we start our day in the bush by scanning the river from our tent’s veranda with a cup of steaming coffee in hand. Before the dew is off the grass, we’re off in pursuit of the elephants, lions, leopards, and cheetahs that thrive in the reserve’s grasslands and acacia woodlands. And so the day is spent in alternating pursuits of exploration in the bush and relaxation in our camp.

Depart in the morning and drive to the floor of the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park making a brief stop at Nyahururu Thomson Falls. Arrive at time for lunch. Afternoon, game drive. The Lake is famous for flamingos as well as over 400 other species of birds. In addition, many species of game can be found in the Park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and White Rhino, Waterbuck, Reedbuck, Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Baboon and many species of plains game

Breakfast at the lodge then drives via the Great Rift Valley to arrive in Masai Mara in time for lunch at your Lodge or Camp. The Mara offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe; over 450 species of animals have been recorded here. You will easily see Lions, Rhinos, Hippos, Crocodiles, Giraffe, Wildebeests, Zebras, Buffalo, Warthogs, Hyenas, and Jackals, Wild dogs, Buffalo, Leopard and a variety of antelopes. It is in the Mara that the most spectacular event of the natural wonders of the world takes place. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Behind their heels are predators of the savanna - Lion, Cheetah, and Wild dog, Jackal, Hyena and Vultures. Depart for an afternoon ‘breezy’ game drive until dusk.

After breakfast we carry packed lunches and set off to search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continues today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive Cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. During our stay we also have an optional opportunity to visit a village of the Masai people to witness the singing and dancing that are part of their daily lives and sacred rituals. A glimpse into their homes and social structure is a poignant experience.

Early morning breakfast. After breakfast drive to Lake Naivasha. Check in at camp and have lunch. Later in the afternoon game drive with a visit to Hells Gate National Park which allows walking safari, Hiking, Bicycling ride and photography of wildlife and a visit to geothermal power plant.

Early morning breakfast, After breakfast check out and leave Lake Naivasha for Amboseli National Park a 5 hours’ drive, there will be a stop to view the great rift valley scenery as you proceed for Amboseli National Park which lies at the floors of Mount Kilimanjaro. Mount Kilimanjaro offers scenic backgrounds for photography Elephants, Lions, Cheetah, Buffalo can be seen at the swamp area. you will arrive with game drive proceeding to your lodge for check inn and have lunch. Later Afternoon game drive at the park,

Early morning game drive later return to your camp for Breakfast. After breakfast check out with a short game drive en-route off Amboseli and drive to Nairobi. You will have your lunch along the way back to Nairobi. We will arrive in Nairobi around 1600hrs.
